NIHR and ANNHRI Organise a Workshop on Capacity Building for National Human Rights Institutions Staff
On the sidelines of the International Conference on the Right to a Healthy and Adequate Environment, organised by the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), the Arab Network for National Human Rights Institutions (ANNHRI), in cooperation with the NIHR, held a dialogue workshop on capacity building for staff in national human rights institutions.
The workshop was presented by a number of specialists in the legal and human rights field at the ANNHRI, during which they reviewed the reference basis for the work of national institutions, and the role of those national institutions in promoting and protecting human rights at the national level. In addition, they introduced the mechanism of action of the UN bodies, and practices and experiences regarding cooperation between national institutions in the Arab region with those bodies.
